How are you? I have read your article,”Finding optimal rotation and translation between corresponding 3D points”. It is really helpful. Thank you so much. But I wonder could I calculate translation t = coordinates of centroid B – coordinates of centroid A, instead of t = – R* centroid A + centroid B? I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Dear Dr. Ho:

Hi,
If you did that then you won’t be able to use R*x + t to do the transform.
